The otherworldly limestone landscape of the Burren, the breathtaking 700-foot Cliffs of Moher, a ferry across the Shannon Estuary, and the colorful seaside village of Dingle — home to falconry, whiskey, and the panoramic Slea Head Drive.

Killarney, Kinsale & Dublin

Days 5–10 · South & East

The legendary Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park, Ross Castle, Muckross House, the gourmet town of Kinsale, Blarney Castle and the Rock of Cashel, then on to Dublin for Trinity College, the Book of Kells, and a farewell Irish music dinner.

Your Irish adventure begins tonight. Meet at your departure airport — New Orleans, Myrtle Beach, or Nashville — and settle in for your overnight flight to Dublin.

Arrive in Ireland · The Burren & Ballyvaughan

Céad míle fáilte — a hundred thousand welcomes! Land in Dublin, meet your professional driver and local guide, and travel west to the dramatic limestone landscape of the Burren. Settle into Ballyvaughan, then gather for a warm welcome dinner and authentic Irish pub experience.

Day 3 · Sunday, August 9

County Clare & Cliffs of Moher · Dingle

Travel through storybook County Clare to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher — 700 feet above the Atlantic. Ferry across the Shannon Estuary and continue to the colorful fishing town of Dingle for the night.

Day 4 · Monday, August 10

Dingle Peninsula · Falconry & Whiskey

Pure Irish magic. A spine-tingling falconry experience along the shoreline, then to the Dingle Whiskey Distillery for a tasting. The afternoon is the jaw-dropping Slea Head Drive — the western edge of Europe. Free evening to explore Dingle's pubs.

Day 5 · Tuesday, August 11

Ring of Kerry · Seaweed Whiskey Bath · Killarney

Circle the legendary Ring of Kerry with a stop for lunch in picture-perfect Sneem. Then soak in your own private whiskey barrel filled with warm seaweed — overlooking the Atlantic. Continue through Moll's Gap to Killarney.

Day 6 · Wednesday, August 12

Killarney National Park

Ross Castle on the Lakes of Killarney, with an optional boat ride to Innisfallen Monastery. Tour elegant Muckross House and stroll its gardens with the mountains as your backdrop. The afternoon is yours.

County Cork & Kinsale

South into lush County Cork to the picturesque seaside town of Kinsale — Ireland's gourmet capital. Brightly painted shopfronts, a winding harbor, and time to explore at your own pace.

Day 8 · Friday, August 14

Blarney Castle · Rock of Cashel · Dublin

Climb the ancient steps at Blarney Castle and — if you dare — kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Wander the magical castle gardens. Then continue to the majestic Rock of Cashel before arriving in Dublin with a free evening.

Dublin City Tour & Irish Show

Is this trip open to husbands and partners?

Yes — Fairytales of Ireland is one of our couples-welcome trips. Husbands, partners, and significant others are warmly invited.

How small is the group?

Just 9 to 14 travelers. That's the whole point of this trip — it lets us stay in boutique hotels and access experiences that big-bus tours simply can't reach.

What departure cities are available?

Air package departures from New Orleans, Myrtle Beach, or Nashville. Departing from another city? Contact Frances and we'll arrange air separately, or you can purchase Land Only and book your own flights.

How much walking is involved?

A fair amount. The Cliffs of Moher, Killarney National Park, Slea Head Drive viewpoints, and the city tours all involve walking on varied surfaces. Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes are essential.

What's the weather like in August?

Mild — typically 60–70°F days with occasional rain showers. Layers, a waterproof jacket, and a small umbrella are your best friends. A detailed packing list is sent after booking.
