Lighthouses, fishing villages, red cliffs, and the highest tides in the world. Dates are being set now.
The Maritimes are one of those places people put off, assuming they will get there someday. Then they go, and they cannot understand why it took so long.
This is coastal Canada at its best. Fishing villages that still fish, lighthouses on rock headlands, red sandstone cliffs against blue water, and the Bay of Fundy, where the tides move more water twice a day than every river on earth combined. You can stand on the sea floor in the morning and watch boats float over the same spot by afternoon.
August is the right month. Warm enough to be comfortable, past the black fly season, and everything is open and running.
Dates are being finalized now. If this one interests you, get on the list and you will hear the moment it is set.
Fishing villages and lighthouses
Working harbors, weathered shingle, and lighthouses on granite headlands. The scenery here does not need any help, and the seafood is exactly what you are hoping for.
The highest tides on earth
Tides that rise and fall as much as fifty feet twice a day. Walk the ocean floor at low tide and come back hours later to watch boats float above where you stood.
We are working out whether this one flies or goes by coach, which depends partly on how many of you want to come. Both options are on the table.
Coastal driving, fishing villages, lighthouses, and the kind of stops where you get out and stand there for a while before anyone gets back on the bus.
Timed to catch the tide at both ends, because seeing only one half of it misses the entire point.
A farewell dinner and the trip home, with a suitcase heavier than it left.

Yes. This is international travel, so a valid passport is required. If yours is expired or expiring, now is a good time to deal with it.
Not a thing. The interest list is just a list. No deposit, no obligation, and you can change your mind. It helps me size the trip and lock better pricing.
Expected to be moderate, with a lot of it optional. Coastal viewpoints and village walking, at your own pace. I will have specifics once the itinerary is final.
Pleasant and coastal. Days generally 70 to 78 degrees, cooler and breezier on the water, with fog some mornings. Layers and a windbreaker.
