Welcome to 50+ Women on the Go

If you've found your way here, you probably already know something most people in their fifties haven't quite figured out yet — that this is supposed to be the best chapter, not the hardest one.

I started 50+ Women on the Go because I kept meeting women who wanted to travel, who had the time and the means and the curiosity, and who were stuck.

Stuck because their husband wasn't interested. Stuck because their friends weren't ready. Stuck because they didn't want to figure out the logistics alone. Stuck because going somewhere new by yourself at our age can feel like a lot, even when you're someone who can absolutely handle it.

So I built a club where none of that matters. You don't need a travel partner. You don't need to plan anything. You don't need to know where you're going for dinner or how the bus gets from the airport to the hotel or whether the walking is too much. We've already figured all of that out. You just show up.

What you can expect when you travel with us

Every trip is fully curated. That means I've personally vetted the hotels, sketched out the daily flow, picked the included meals, and built in real margin for the things that matter — rest stops, bathroom breaks, a little time to wander, and the kind of pacing that respects a woman in her fifties or sixties or seventies.

You'll have a professional tour director with you the whole time. On most trips, that's me. On a few, it's someone I've worked with for years who I trust completely. Either way, you're never on your own.

You'll be traveling with women in the same season of life. That single fact changes everything about how a trip feels. There's no posturing. Nobody's trying to keep up with twenty-somethings or slow down for someone struggling. It's just a group of women who get it.

The kind of women who find their way to us

Some are recently retired and figuring out what's next. Some are still working full-time and using every vacation day they can scrape together. Some are widowed. Some are happily married to a husband who's just not a traveler. Some are taking their first big trip in years. Some have been traveling forever and want better company.

None of them are exactly the same. All of them have something in common — they want the experience without the headache.

I joined for the Italy trip. I stayed for the friendships. Six trips later, I still don't know how Frances thinks of everything, but she does.

What's next

Take a look at our upcoming trips. We've got Ireland in August, Biltmore in September, Italy in October, and a steady rotation of local day trips for our Brunswick and Horry County members in between.

If something catches your eye, give me a call or send me an email — I answer everything myself, and I'd love to hear from you. If nothing's quite right yet, get on the email list anyway. We add new trips a few times a year, and members on the list always get first look.

However you find your way in — welcome. I'm so glad you're here.

— Frances
